When my days off finally roll around, the first day is spent doing mundane chores; laundry, shopping, and all the other tasks left undone during my work rotation. While I go about my day my mind is on two things, the topic for this week’s blog and channeling my characters in my WIP. The blog is usually more difficult. I never know what I’m going to write about. Usually, I sit at my desk and words spill out on the page. I started this as a diary of sorts, chronicling my journey as a writer. Believe me, it’s not a glamourous life. If you’ve followed my blog for the last couple of years, you know it’s a constant whirl of emotions, LOTS of revisions, frustrations and small triumphs. I can’t say I’d change a thing, either.
Lately, I’ve been promoting my upcoming release, making teasers and swag, preparing for another giveaway (I’ll give you more details on that in a bit), and working on my WIP. I also signed up for another Reviewer Roundup with Kelli Smith coming up April 18. I’m really excited about it because it’s for series only! The “Spring into Series” is a multi-genre event guaranteed to have something for everyone. I’ll have my Kindred series listed and will be posting notices closer to the event.
Now, for a quick rundown on my giveaway. I have declared April as Kindred Month! All of my Kindred book babies are released in April. To celebrate I’m giving away a set of all my books, signed of course, and a special swag package to one lucky winner. There’s a catch, however. Isn’t there always? You have to be signed up for my newsletter to find the key to enter. If you haven’t already signed up, you can do it here: https://www.madisongranger.com/ You have to hurry, though. My newsletter goes out tomorrow, so you need to sign up TODAY!
Until next week,
Caffeine hasn’t made it to the part of my brain that pulls words out of the air so this next sentence is going to be a bit rambly. The book that is a part of the Veil series…but is not a continuation of Daria and Iauron’s story…in other words, Celine and Coipeail’s has begun! Right now the working title is Veiled Hearts Revealed…but that may change once I get further into the story. I’ve talked to my publisher and we have a tentative release date…I’m not going to say what it is right now, because I tend to jinx myself when I do.
In the meantime, have you read the first two books in the Veil Series? No? You should. Beyond the Veil of Whispered Dreams is the first book, and where you will meet them. Their romance begins in The Veiled Path to Destiny
Until next week…Happy Reading!

In the midst of making teasers and swag for my upcoming release, I decided to make myself a charm bracelet. I seldom wear bracelets, and never was really into charms, but this one was going to be a special one. I made tiny book cover charms for the books I’ve written, including the three I intend to publish this year. Added to that, I have charms that pertain to each book. Once I got them all on the bracelet, I was amazed at how full the links were already. Looking over the charms made me realized how exciting the last two and a half years have been. That’s right, I started Phoenix Rising in August of 2015. My life has certainly changed for the better. I can’t imagine not writing, now.
I’ll never get rich, and I may never make that elusive best seller list, but those were never goals when I started writing. They still aren’t. I started writing because I had a story that had to get out. Now that my Kindred series is more than half done, I’m working on other stories. I’ve found something I truly enjoy doing. I’ve found my passion.
I’m discovering I have a faithful following of readers who enjoy my stories, too. That’s my reward. Not money, not a label to stick on my book cover, (though I would be lying if I said I don’t want it 😉) No, my greatest reward is when a reader tells me how much they enjoy my books, eagerly waiting for the next one. This past week I’ve been able to visit with a few of those special friends. This is the best kind of encouragement to keep me writing.
On that note, I’ll leave you with the link to my upcoming release, A Destiny Denied. You can pre-order now for only 99 pennies. Grab your copy now! If my Kindred series is new to you, book one is Phoenix Rising, followed by Eternal Embrace. My sexy Alpha warriors would love to meet you.
Till next week,
I’ve spent the past week working on my urban fantasy novel, To Kill A Demon. I finally finished the last story. Well, I thought it was the last one. I started a short story a while back. It had to do with zombies. *shudders* Personally, I don’t care for zombies. Don’t like the movies, and I sure don’t want to write about them. My muse, however, had other ideas. So, the story was started, but never finished. The closer I got to finishing the WIP, the more the zombie story kept jumping in my head, wanting to be completed. I’m not sure which way to go, either finish it as it is, or change the zombies to something I can deal with. Believe me, at this point, suggestions are welcome! Either way, I’m afraid it’s insisting on being a part of the Chronicles of Sully and Larke, which is going to give me seven action-packed tales.
Have you seen my pre-order link for A Destiny Denied? I’ve been posting it everywhere! Book three of The Kindred Series will be released April 10. If you pre-order now, you can get it for only 99 pennies. That’s a hard deal to beat! Get Doc and Maggie’s story HERE
Until next week,
It’s a bright, beautiful morning…well, not really. Daylight Saving Time is in full effect, so it’s still dark, but I’m hoping it’s going to be a sunny day. I saw my first robin yesterday. A sure sign that Winter is on the verge of being kicked to the curb. What signs of Spring do you look for?
Soooo….I thought I’d share the blurb for my story in the fairytale boxset due to come out in May.
Ailsa was biding her time when the call of the music floating on the wings of the night’s wind led her to a moonlit glen and another world.
Kellan, Prince of the Fae Court, was tired and bored with things as they were until a young woman not only sparked his interest but his desire to finally claim a mate.
Two souls find in each other a connection unlike any other.
A chance encounter brought them together. A dream created a bond. Will the jealousy of one who was scorned tear them apart? Or will love’s kiss breathe life into a sleeping beauty?
From the days of old, with the twist of new, these fairytales are just for you.
Drawing from a well of myth and legend, each of these 16 USA Today and NYT Best Selling Authors, has put their own twist on a story from childhood.
Modernized tales of love, war, oaths, and curses, uncover the secrets in Once Upon a Twisted Time. We promise you a Happily Ever After…
You can pre-order your copy for only $0.99.
The past couple of days I’ve spent working on a video trailer for my upcoming release, A Destiny Denied. After countless attempts and edits, I finally figured out how to make the new program work. I was so impressed with the results, I paid for the pro membership. That’s saying a lot. My advertising budget is practically nonexistent. I’ve had to do what I can, when I can, with what I have available. Having a video trailer for your book is not a necessity. I just happen to like them. I think they add a nice touch when you’re trying to promote your latest release. I have one for all of my books. With Kizoa, I’ll be able to continue making them.
Today, I’ll be attending a Writer’s Conference. The schedule is jam packed with workshops and celebrated speakers such as R. L. Stine (Goosebumps fame), Monique Patterson (St. Martin’s Press executive editor), Jaycee Ford, and Melissa Marr, among many others. I went last year for the first time. While I found it interesting, I was disappointed to find that it was all geared toward publishing houses. Pleased to see that this year’s schedule has topics that address self-publishing, I have a feeling I’ll get a lot more out of the experience. I’m sure I’ll leave with inspirations and new ideas to keep me writing.
Speaking of which, there’s a story that requires my attention.
Till next week,
