Snippet

My brain is mush. That being said, I’m doing a mad mental scramble to find a blog post. aaaaaack! So my coffee provided the idea of doing a little sneak snippet of The Veiled Path of Destiny~The Veil Book 2. Mind you it is unedited and subject to change, but here you go.

At the mental call of Daria, Iauron sifted, without hesitation, to the healing waters grotto ready to confront whoever managed to breach his wards. His senses quickly told him the there was no foe to defeat or defend his Queen against, He swallowed the bitter taste of panic which had risen at the thought of her being taken from him once again. Closing his eyes, he inhaled deeply, and reached within for his center.

Daria felt him before she saw him. His warm energy reached out to touch her even as the warm water swirled around her, lapping at her skin with its silky wet kisses as she moved towards the water’s edge. “You came.” She thought at him.

Dark blue eyes opened, piercing her with their heat and intensity. “Did you doubt I would?” One by one, an article of clothing sifted away with each step he took forward. “Did I not request you wait until I could be with you before coming to the grotto?”

Iridescent silver eyes darkened to a smoky gray drank in the epitome of male perfection stalking towards her. A seductive smile gracing her lips, Daria stood. Water sluiced down her pale skin, effectively drawing Iauron’s gaze to the watery pearls reluctantly dripping from the tips of her swollen nipples. “A request is not the same as an order.”

“The order was well implied.”

“You should know me well enough to know I hardly ever take orders well.”

“You should know me well enough, mo grá, to know there are punishments for those who do not follow my orders.”
