It’s been almost two weeks since I’ve had my knee replacement surgery. It’s been emotional, pain-filled, and challenging. I’ve been depressed, excited, and every mood in between. I’ve reached the point where I’m able to get around easier and can do more things for myself. It will be a while yet before I can say I’m healed, but at the same time, I’m close to being able to resume my normal routine.
The best part of being laid up was being able to visit with my friends. Some by phone, others dropped by to visit, it was great being able to catch up on old times. We seldom take time out of our busy lives to visit with friends. Our days are always filled with work and other responsibilities. This past week has been filled with a lot of laughter, hugs, and King Cake. If you’re out of commission around Mardi Gras, take advantage of the fact and make it work for you.
I’ve also spent time working on edits of Eternal Embrace. Not as much as I should have, but I’m building tolerance once again to sit at my desk. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get in a few more chapters this evening before I call it quits. I need to step up my pace because my release date is April 11 and I want to make sure everything stays on schedule.
I’ve got an author take over this evening too. E. A. Copen is hosting the Multi-Author Mega Release party. Drop by and say Hi! I’ll be doing the cover reveal for Eternal Embrace. My slot will be at 7 pm EST / 6 pm CST https://www.facebook.com/events/1710428899247955/ Since today is the official cover reveal, you’ll get first crack at the new cover. I’m thrilled to no end. Cover artist Victoria Miller has outdone herself, once again.
So, it’s back to work for me. Leg therapy and edits are my main priorities. Enjoy your weekend.
Till next week,
~ Madison
