Running in place …

*sits and stares at the blinking cursor* Yeah, it’s been one of those weeks. I’m sure you have had one like it before. Life takes over and runs you ragged. In my case it’s my full time job as receptionist/file coordinator/secretary and all the other unofficial hats I don. I have been slammed with so much work by the time I get home all I want to do is fall on my bed and not even think until the morning alarm goes off. Unfortunately, it’s not how my life works. I have responsibilities to deal with.

Needless to say, my brain has been reduced to the consistency of fried mush. Let’s not forget I’m being pulled three different ways trying to figure out which project to work on since A Destiny Denied has been completed (for the most part) and shelved for now. After much deliberation, which took up most of the week, I figured I better get busy on Eternal Embrace once again. Book 2 of The Kindred series is going to the editor and cover artist in late December. I’ll be going over the book with a fine tooth comb to try and tighten up the story in hopes of lessening the damage before it leaves my hands.

I’ve got a project I want to tackle once Embrace is in the hands of my publisher. I’m trying not to focus on it too much, but we all know how well that one is working out. Regardless, it stays on the shelf until I have time to deal with it.

For now, other than occasional author take overs, I’ll be working on one or more manuscripts. Keeps me busy and out of trouble. That’s the plan, anyway. Somewhere in there I’ll try to get a few pages read of my staggering pile of TBR books.

Till next week,
