Flip side of the coin …

I want to start off this week’s post by wishing the very best to my fellow Bard authors, Savannah Verte, Jolanthe Aleksander, and Miranda Shanklin. I hope you have tons of fun, meet a lot of wonderful readers and authors, and find homes for your books. Joli, I hope you manage to get into a hot tub this go-round. 😉

If you happen to be near East Peoria, Illinois today, stop by the Par-a-Dice Hotel Casino for the Writers on the River event. You’ll meet a lot of awesome authors, and I guarantee you’ll have fun!

I only have a couple of local events slated this summer. I’ve been trying to convince myself that I’m better off focusing on my writing. I don’t think it’s working however, especially when I think of the great times my friends are having at their book signing events. I had so much fun at TNEE in Atlanta this past April. I can’t wait to do it again.

But we can’t have it all, no matter how much we try. On the flip side of that coin of public events is the writing that leads to it. Today I’m writing. And I’ve been managing to get in a bit of writing done every day, so that’s the plus side. I came up with my own plotting method, and am putting it to use. So far, it seems to be working. It’s early days, though. When the book is finished, I’ll let you know if the plotting worked. One thing for sure, it’s keeping me on course and I know where I’m going, as well as where I’m headed.

I hope you’re having a wonderful summer, and find time to read a good book or three. Remember to leave a review. Authors depend on them, and appreciate the feedback.

Till next week,
