Time to buckle down

The holidays are fun but exhausting. I love the extra time I get to spend with my family but it also comes with a lot of work getting put on the back burner. I have goals that I want to achieve and that means that the work can no longer sit there waiting for me to eventually get to it.

2015 was a good year for me. It wasn’t the best but it also wasn’t the worst. I have a goal of being able to quit my day job and write full time. I also don’t want to give up my creative tendencies. Therefore, I have decided that I am going to branch out a little.

I have specific  ideas of what I want and I am currently working on how to get them. I have a picture in my head about covers that I want. The question that I had been asking myself is do I want to try and explain to someone or do I want to just do it myself?

I have decided that the way that I can encourage my creative side, get what I want for graphics, bring in a little extra money to help toward my goal of staying home and help others is to start to do covers and teasers.

I am going to start working on that and when I am more comfortable with my skills I will put myself out there to help other authors reach their goals. Yes I know that means putting another iron in the fire but it takes work and dedication to get where you want to go.

Nothing is ever just handed to you. You have to be willing to work and fight for what you want. You get out what you put in. If I am willing to put the work in there is no limit to what I can achieve.

I am ready for the new year and to work toward my goals, are you?
